About Us

Jabril Shareef is the owner of 230 Pratt, the home of the former Iroquois Brewery.  Mr. Shareef has over 40 years of experience in the construction trades as a N.Y.S certified Minority owned business.  He was one of the first minority businesses to obtain a developers license in the city of Buffalo.

As a developer, Mr. Shareef built several homes on the East side of Buffalo under the cities affordable housing program for first time home buyers.

Presently Jabril Shareef and his wife Ellen Shareef are embarking on a new business project; 230 Pratt Investment Opportunities, to redevelop the former site of the Iroquois Brewery.  230 Pratt is a commercial warehouse with 93,000 sq. ft. of space, located minutes from downtown Buffalo.

Ellen Shareef is spearheading the project as the designated project team leader.  Her responsibilities include outreach, public relations and business development.

Mrs. Shareef’s real-estate background began in 1990 when she was hired as a residential loan officer with Statewide Funding in Clifton Park, New York.  As a loan officer, Mrs. Shareef wrote mortgages for existing home purchases and new construction projects.

Mrs. Shareef has over twenty years of experience as a construction manager and team leader. Some of her projects included the over site of complete gut rehab projects and demolition projects that involved the removal of residential and commercial building and site restoration.

Currently Mrs. Shareef is working as a project manager under a contract between NYSERDA and C&R Housing as a designated contractor that performs energy audits and insulate homes.
